Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi knows English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu and Marath. Since he wrote the book in Gujarati originally, it is meant particularly for Gujarati and the Indian people. I think good teachings are universal so if its good, good people agree on it. As Gandhi is a peacemaker, only peace-loving individuals will understand and follow his teachings.

Like in basketball, Tex Winter is the originator of the Triangle offense. He connected with Phil Jackson so the latter became a disciple. PJ executed it masterfully. I'm afraid I do not understand the principles of the Triangle offense. I only know it works because of the championship titles won by the teams who won by it. Here in the PH, we prefer the run and gun or helter-skelter type of basketball because it is simple.

But I understand set plays like the Princeton offense. Below is a note from Wayne Walters:

I'm a big fan of the game okay so I download diagrams and videos.

Chapter 1 - Birth and Parentage
The impression that India is clannish is shown in this chapter and the story of Mahatma Gandhi's father who due to intrigue about loyalty has to leave his post. To be honest, I just have the basic understanding and impression of the Caste system prevailing in India but being the tactless that I am I would say it is comparable to the NBA. However the loyalty of the NBA players is their love for basketball. Generally speaking because it is not always about the money. When players are not receiving the playing time they think they deserve in their current teams, they would look elsewhere where they can develop. Other times, players go abroad. So NBA has loyalties to their team, their contracts, to the NBA, to advertisers, to fellow players, to fans and for the love of the game. Which is their priority is supposed to be in the spiritual and that is the love for the game. Of course the players are also bounded by the NBA Players Association which is after the welfare of the players.

Where is your loyalty, to your clan or to your country?

Gadhi's mother, meanwhile, does fasting religiously, once falling ill as said here and breaking her fast at sunrise. This is the right way of fasting as she probably was shaking from hunger that she went ill.

My opinion in fasting is that it is for your own body, not for God. What would God do with your fasting and food offering? God is a spiritual being so God is delighted by spiritual offerings.

"Love your fellow men. Do not do to others what you do not wish to be done to yourself. Desiring to sustain oneself, one sustains others; desiring to develop oneself, one develops others".

Because a teacher supposed to teach people why the people should do things. And a student supposed to ask why they are supposed to do things.

I saw this documentary about a missionary going to the place of a native tribe. He was entertained when the natives pounded the soap to their shirts in the mortar and pestle. What the hell... What kind of teacher is this? He is supposed to teach the natives the proper way how to wash their clothes.

I apologize guys if I offended you in your beliefs. Because my opinion is that to get the bullet from inside the wound, the doctor hurts you in cutting open the flesh. So take this blog with a grain of salt.

However Jesus also respect the traditions of different beliefs and religions:
Acts 15
13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. 18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Jesus made a demarcation line from his doctrines to that of Moses. So Jesus and disciples compromised in verses 20,21 that they keep these traditions. Like in today's time, as the doctrines of Jesus are universal, other religions can adapt his teachings and retain their old traditions. The only cons to that is that your progress be delayed or stagnated. No big deal.

In summary, follow the golden rules below cause the doctrines of Jesus stemmed from it:
"Love your fellow men. Do not do to others what you do not wish to be done to yourself. Desiring to sustain oneself, one sustains others; desiring to develop oneself, one develops others".
