I am favor of nuclear power plants because it is economical and more environment-friendly source of electricity than gas and coal plants. Although there is the risk in having a catastrophe but I will take this than risk its utilization with creating weapons of mass destruction.
There are also hazardous work like that of the security guards, the police and military. Also the oil drilling and mining industry. Like hell we also have high risk hobbies like skydiving, deep-sea diving, hang-gliding, mountain climbing and so on..
So we make sure the expertise is there in handling the nuclear facility and have safety precautions and evacuations for possible accidents. This is the way to more advancement and progress.
High risk, high reward.
